About Bóín Dé Counselling and Psychotherapy

Jen and Barry are highly skilled and experienced therapists. Throughout their careers they have prided themselves in their work and in supporting people who may be experiencing difficulties in their lives. The core foundation of the work is Compassion and it lies at the centre of all their work. Bóín Dé offers a confidential, safe space for people to explore challenges they may be having and they create a space for growth and freedom. When you are at a turning point in your life, talking to the right person can really make a difference. Both trained therapists have an empathic ear and are trained to listen and understand. Just having the experience of being listened to and understood can alleviate some of your distress, which is the first level of talking therapy. Going deeper, psychotherapy provides a unique space to open up your thinking about your life and relationships, a process that is transformative and enriching. Mindfulness also underpins the work,  practicing Mindfulness involves formal meditations as well as informal practices that help cultivate Mindfulness into our daily lives. Supporting us to be more present and helps to reduce stress.Spending too much time planning, problem-solving, daydreaming, or thinking negative or random thoughts can be draining. It can also make you more likely to experience stress, anxiety and symptoms of depression. Practicing Mindfulness can help us develop awareness and gain a greater understanding of how we can bring compassion and wisdom to challenges in our daily life.
