Jen Costello MIACP

Counselling & Psychotherapy

I approach my work from a place of compassion, understanding and support. I seek to provide a safe, confidential environment which is founded in respect. My way of being as a psychotherapist is to be warm, accepting and non-judgmental. My preferred philosophy is based on what it means to be human and how my clients can explore their worldview, working through any difficulties and finding new ways of being in the world. I enlist a bespoke approach that caters to the individual needs of the people I work with. My aim is to help my client feel heard and understood. I hope to guide and empower them to reach a place of greater self-awareness and self-compassion, arriving at a place of great strength, peace and hope for their future. I have over ten years experience with the Rutland Centre and the DNE drug and alcohol task force facilitating aftercare groups for people in recovery from all types of addictions and their family members. I am Autism informed and Neuro affirming working with Children in the education sector for over fifteen years and providing one-to-one support for parents who have children with additional needs. I have a wide range of one-to-one experience, supporting people presenting with many different issues with the Oasis Centre and in private practice.

Barry Costello MACI, MMTAI

General Counselling, Specialist Addiction Counsellor & Mindfulness

I approach my work with empathy, kindness and care. I seek to provide a safe, confidential environment which is founded in respect. I strive to engage in a sincere, broad-minded and non-judgemental way that empowers my clients and supports their wellbeing, incorporating mindfulness philosophies and interventions into my work. I have a keen interest in supporting people to develop and integrate mindfulness into their lives, supporting them to meet, manage and overcome the challenges life inevitably throws their way.
I am a strong advocate for recovery and challenging the stigma so often faced by those in addiction and recovery. I am passionate around introducing and developing mindfulness-based programmes to assist people with addiction and co-occurring conditions. My goal is to guide, encourage and motivate so that my clients reach a state of power, positivity and harmony.
I have many years experience working with people at all stages of recovery and have held senior roles in different organisations including the Rutland Centre. I am also a core team member of the faculty delivering the Masters in Mindfulness Based Interventions in University College Dublin and a guest lecturer in Trinity College Dublin on the Masters in Addiction Recovery.
